Knit me a Rainbow…

Autumn is in full swing and as the transition into colder weather is very noticeable, knitwear is a must, for what is Autumn and Winter without a cosy jumper.

I have been knitting since the age of 10 (just after i started sewing) but it isn’t until now that I have fully embraced and incorporated this therapeutically craft and skill into our business. Hand knitting is very relaxing, yet a long an laborious process. Each item takes a minimum of 3 days to complete and often longer counting in real life comes in between.

Our knitwear, is as all our products, is fully sustainable. We use unwanted / leftover and sometimes damaged yarns (mis-dyed etc. The rainbow effect came about when we literally needed to fins a way to combine all these yarns in an harmonious way. Each piece is unique and each and every piece is completely hand knitted by Anne. The price point is higher due to the work that goes into every piece, and yet is is much below the majority of other hand-knit brands out there who all sell at 3 figures.

Festival Season Kick Off

Not only for the fashion but for the fun times, Freedom and fantastic times that we often have while at Festivals. Why Scouse Women are some of the Best Dressed!

Parisian and Scandinavians are known to be well dressed. Many bloggers proudly model their looks on these continental femme fatales. However, although wearing hair rollers in the supermarket and donning a Pyjama on the school tun is no joke (this does happen); despite these (not so) little fashion faux pas – Scouse women has got it going on! We consider them to be part of the BEST DRESSED list and here is Why:

The women of Liverpool and Merseyside are Passionate and very dedicated to Fashion! They take their outfits very seriously and they know what they love and what they want. It being a forever style Marriage to River Island or a dedication seeking out the best finds in the charity shops; Scouse women are fierce when it comes to seeking out that perfect item. And don’t get me started on going out (or OUTTTT as they would spell it) there is no holding back on the preparation: Hair, Makeup, Nails, Tan, Wax, Polish- you name it! Being a 30 min-max-getting-ready-kind-of-gal myself, I respect the effort they put in for an event. And I am fully aware that this effort isn’t only owned by Scouse Women, but many, many women all over the place. However, the gold medal for focus and determination in their own individual ideals of perfection goes to Scouse Women all the way!

So here’s to you; You FABULOUS hot Mamas and young ladies who grace the Streets of this very fine City! Keep doing your thang!

Model Behaviour: introducing 17-71

We like to break away from the norm. We are fatigued by your average modern model fashion shoots and advertisement standards. Show us real people, show us real style. We cannot understand why everything has to be so faked in order to become sell able; who set these standards of beauty? Who decided that thin, young models in size 6 should be aspirational? The general population of consumers have gone along with this for too long and change is coming. You can already see it on the catwalks during the various fashion weeks and with the rising power of social media- REAL people are finally getting a voice and an image.

Freedom of Ztyle provide fashion for a variety of people, gender, age, creed and colour. We welcome all, so therefore we have recently had a photoshoot we named 17-71. Our models in this shoot are real people who are really beautiful and they are aged between 17 to 71. They are from all walks of life; male, female, Brazilian, Scouse, Black, white, mixed, red heads, grey heads,Straight hair, curly hair, wig hair, blue and brown eyed, size 6-16 and totally AWESOME! We thank you all for being a part of our small but important revolution.

We urge you to take a look and celebrate their uniqueness with us. All welcome, none excluded!

Strutt Your Stuff!

Yessss Gentlemen! if you are familiar with us you know we are unapologetic in what we do and we are fairly limitless when we do it as long as it is within our Sustainable and Ethical boundaries supporting a circular economy. Now – we need to adress the common question we get: do you do Men’s wear? WELLLLLL most of our stock is made to be Unisex. Many styles – ie all Ex-army wear and our Tee’s are in fact Men’s wear but we have no intention of “dulling down” our embellishments to suit societies and (as it turns out) most peoples very narrow idea of Men’s wear. Yes we do Colour. Yes we do Bling. However that said- we do have men who buy our stock as it is and these are the men we cater for! As unapologetic and confident as our stock and we applaud them strutting their stuff with and without our clothes on their backs!

Men’s wear needs reviving. Albeit some fresh air in the last few years as the rise of social media has played a vital role in much needed new pazazz, it still has a long way to go. We need to break down set boundaries and let go of boring stereotypes. Feel free to comment if you agree. In the meantime, we wont back down in what we do- we will keep on being more colourful and loud! More is in fact more!!!

Karma Camo Cameleon

Love Camouflage? So do we. And perhaps not for the obvious reasons….All of our Camo jackets, parkas and shorts come from the army. They are authentic Ex-Army gear and this is why we like it- the clothes are of exceptional good quality. These Garments were made to last and withstand some very hard environments and be put to its ultimate wear test being worn by service men and women all over the globe. Our selection is from the 80’s and early 90’s and the garments come from a variety of various departments. WE have blue jackets and shirts from the RAF, as well as their all in one boiler suits we turn in to cropped jackets, funky pants and festival gear. We have lightweight DPM jackets and heavier Parka Coats which we adorn and embellish in our trademark Freedom of Ztyle Fashion. But we also use their buttons and trims and threads- things you would not necessarily think of. And why? because of the quality. WE aim to provide you with garments to last you for a long time so even if all materials are re-cycled / re-used, we make sure the quality is at the top.

Delicious Denim

If you are a layering person – just like ourselves- that doesn’t really distinguish between season fashion, but only shed or pile on the layers as seasons come and go- you wear Denim all year around, albeit in various degrees of visibility. So, as Summer is fast approaching; and layers are thus shed; the Denims are revealed! And arent you lucky indeed, as Denim is one of our favorite specialties. If you are looking for that extra special, sweet piece of Delicious Denim- Look no further!
